Proclaim Group News Article
On 26 April 2026, our Chief Commercial Director, Neil Irwin, took on one of the world’s most iconic endurance events: the London Marathon.
Founded in 1981, the annual 26.2-mile race attracts tens of thousands of participants each year, all united by one goal: reaching that famous finish line.
For Neil, race day was the culmination of months of hard work, dedication and commitment. While most of us were enjoying our weekends, Neil was putting in the training miles, steadily building the endurance needed to take on one of the biggest challenges in running… and all that effort paid off, after countless training sessions, early mornings and many miles on the road, Neil successfully crossed the finish line, completing the London Marathon and earning every bit of the achievement.
Whilst we’re fortunate to have Neil leading our commercial teams, this challenge showed the same qualities that make him such a respected leader – determination, resilience and a willingness to put in the hard work needed to achieve a goal.
We’re incredibly proud of what Neil accomplished and grateful that he chose to channel all that effort into supporting our charity fundraising campaign. A huge congratulations to Neil on an outstanding achievement.
Because sometimes leading from the front means running 26.2 miles to prove it.
Neil was part of the Day One Trauma running team. Day One Trauma was selected as one of our charities in our ‘25 for 25 – A Year of Give Back’ initiative. They provide full support for individuals with catastrophic injuries throughout the daunting process of recovery. They are there for people for as long as it takes and believe that no one should be left to rebuild their life on their own.
